How does coaching help?
Coaching is an amazing tool because it helps you get clear on what you want for your life, relationships, and business and then helps you move toward that vision that you’ve articulated. Personally I can tell you that working with a master coach to maintain my ICF credential has helped me develop a boldness to step out into some of things I’ve wanted to try. It has also given me deep revelation for my “why’s” without exploring deeply into past memories (which is more therapy than coaching). That’s how coaching helps. It gives insight into what is making you tick and because it is forward-focused, it helps you develop a plan to move forward.
How do I find out if coaching is right for me?
Basically the way it works is, we start with an initial time to talk. I find out more information about how I can help. This also gives you a chance to ask questions. Next, I send you my coaching paperwork via email. It has quite a few questions on it that will help get you thinking in the direction of setting a new vision. I’ll ask you to send the coaching paperwork back to me via email. Finally we schedule a coaching session. I can speak with you by phone or travel to you. You can also do some phone sessions and some sessions in person.
What should I expect?
You set the agenda using a form that you send a day or two before your session. If you can’t think of something specific you want to talk about during our scheduled meeting, I can use the Daring Way material or a step-by-step business planning process and the session will take a natural path from there.
I like to incorporate the Daring Way material developed by Dr. Brené Brown into coaching sessions because I believe the basis for her work is the foundation for building an authentic and wholehearted life. Coaching can help you charter new territory by connecting with the vulnerable in order to show up bravely in a way that fulfills you. Although I may use some of the Daring Way material, the sessions are completely tailored to your needs, your vision, and your goals.
What types of payment do you accept?
I can put a credit card number in your file and use Square for payment or you can also pay by check.
How many sessions should I start with?
To start, I suggest 5 sessions. Individual sessions are paid for the day we coach together, not as a package. You can opt to meet once every other week, once a month, or if you want to get things moving quickly, once a week (three sessions a month). You can stop coaching at any time before the 5 sessions are up. If you like the momentum you’re building with coaching, you can opt to continue.
What are your hours?
I coach between the hours of 10a and 3p, Monday through Friday.
I hope this helps to clarify what coaching is, and how to get started. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible in the process.
I look forward to hearing from you!
